Deception

Hode Regarding the time of the end of this age Jesus warned us, "See to it that no one misleads you," for, He said, "Many false prophets will arise and mislead many," explaining that, "False Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:4,11 & 24) How then are we not to be deceived? For the true believer the answer comes by virtue of the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Helper, who Jesus said, "the Father will send in My Name." (John14:26) Jesus said, "When He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak, and He will disclose to you what is to come." (John 16:13) It is because of this that John was able to write, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1John 4:1) Explaining that the spirit of antichrist was already in the world John says, "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." (verse 4) In John's first letter he explains, "These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him." (1John 2:26&27) 

In 2009 we were given a 'word' :-

Deception - A Revelation of the End

 

At the end many will say, “Did we not do ‘this or that’ in your Name?”, so if we can’t tell by the gospel or the Name how can we tell? - because ultimately Satan draws you in by your selfish nature. Lying signs and wonders are for those who seek them selfishly; they test the heart. If we look to Jesus, not the signs, then we will see a difference; it won’t feed ‘self’. The lying signs and wonders will convince you of what you can have ‘here and now’ on earth. God’s signs are for eternity. The gospel message is that you can have eternal life.”

What we have on the earth is irrelevant. At the end of the age there will be so many trials, tribulations, plagues and problems that eternity will be the goal, not the earth. Gold teeth, jewels, gold dust and strange behavior will only effect this life and has no bearing on eternity or the righteousness of God. Seek Jesus and the everlasting life He offers and take no thought for this world and we will be kept by His power in the time ahead. ”Lying wonders will tell you that you can have something. It will benefit you. It will bring riches, or health, or benefit, or glory, or position, or the praise of men.”

Godliness and truth will always have a cost and demands a sacrifice. If you preach a gospel of gain there will always be a hall full of converts. If you preach a gospel of surrender and cost then few will find it - because it is a hard and narrow way - but it leads to everlasting life. Pursue eternal life through Jesus not a life of gain through deception. Deception will focus on the signs and wonders that bring an earthly blessing whereas surrender and ‘taking up your cross and following Jesus’ will bring eternal blessing.”

Gen.25:29-34 - don’t be like Esau and sell your birthright for a morsel of food. (Heb.12:16-17) Eternal life is our birthright and the life on this earth is secondary. Do not sell it for the deceptive lying signs that promise better things in this life; they will lead to death.”

True signs and wonders are from the Holy Spirit and will be accompanied by a holy life and a call to holiness. The true message will preach a cost not a gain.”

Those who would try to gain life will surely lose it. Those who willingly lose it for His Name’s sake will surely gain it. Esau sold the heavenly bestowed blessing for something of the world and found no way back. Lying signs are from spirits of this world not from heaven above. They are temporary, not permanent. A change life is the greatest sign. Righteousness and holiness are great signs because they can only come from heaven above. Miracles can come from anywhere.”

Individual and Corporate

“Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We become the dwelling place. We are the tabernacle of the Lord. We become His house. We become His temple. We also become a living stone.”

Therefore, as living stones we come together to make a different kind of temple. Collectively we become the habitation of the Lord and we enjoy a more specific manifestation.”

Wherever two or three are gathered together in My Name there I am in the midst. When Jesus is in the midst He can do His will and work in the midst for our good. Jesus will manifest Himself in both individual and corporate. He can be real in the individual without the corporate, but not not the reverse.” DA November 2009

Just as Paul warned the Church in Corinth in August 2011 we received this word:-

Another Jesus

The following word followed after a vision of what appeared to be saints worshipping the Lord. I could see what appeared to be the Lord, receiving this adoration and exaltation. It brought memories of congregational praise as was experienced years ago. The Lord said to me “look closer”. I could see the glory and light of the figure receiving praise. The Lord said “look closer still; see inside the light”. As I peered into the light I could see a black beating heart. I, stirred in my spirit, said, “What is that Lord? That is not your heart! That is not you!" The Lord replied, “He receives the praise and sits in the place as if he is god; as do his ministers preach false righteousness and point to him. As I stirred, the Lord spoke. The words are summarised below.

"For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this well....for such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ, and no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, therefore it is not surprising if his servants disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end shall be in according to their deeds." (2 Corinthians 11:4,13-15)

Satan has had the past two thousand years to perfect his transformation into an angel of light; as indeed have his ministers into ministers of righteousness. They proclaim ‘another Jesus’: one that gives everything but doesn’t require repentance. It is a different spirit, proclaiming a different gospel. They focus on ‘self’. They take from this church and mislead this church. They preach the wrong Jesus, a wrong gospel by a wrong spirit and produce a wrong church that worships the wrong lord. They lift up hands in praise to this wrong lord, but these are not holy hands, for there has been no repentance, therefore no sanctification, therefore no salvation. This whole church becomes deceived and brings the Name of the true Lord Jesus into disrepute so that His mighty Name is abused, blasphemed and ridiculed. They believe they are worshiping Me and that it is Me that they are praying to, but in truth it is not Me, it is the god that is preached to them, the god of ‘self’, the god of this world, the great deceiver who fell with pride. He seeks to fill others with this religious pride so that they fall also. This is the angel disguised as light and his ministers with him. They don’t worship Me nor do they serve Me because they refuse to hear My voice. They cannot hear Me in their hearts, because they listen to a different voice. They listen to the deceiver, they receive his voice, his doctrine and his pride. Warn them quickly before they receive his damnation and his judgement.

The remnant that are mine (and they are few) WILL hear My voice and will turn and repent. They will be freed from this false spirit and shall be filled with truth and life. As I have said – “The time is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him”.   DA

In such serious times that have been prophesied in scripture the importance of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Helper, is highlighted, without Whom we would not have true discernment and spiritual understanding. Without Him we would be lost and on our own but with Him we can ask for discernment only He can give :-

How To Be Set Free From Deceptions Power

Satan has two strings to his bow. One is obvious - it is evil - but the other is not obvious as Satan also comes as an angel of light. It is his subtle side and it brings deception. So it is we need to be able to discern what is deception.

To enable us to recognise deception we need to look into what is at the heart of what we hear and see. Always with deception we will be able to see ‘self interest’. Watch it and listen to it. It will be all about ‘me’ whereas what is from the Lord is about what you can give and not what you can get. When we look at the lives of the early disciples, the lives of Paul and Stephen, we see no ‘self interest’. A man nowadays who wants a great ministry wants to be lifted up himself. If ‘self interest’ is in his heart it gives Satan a right to deceive him.

Jesus said, “If any man wants to follow Me let him deny himself. There is no ‘self interest’ in this. He must take up his cross and then He can follow Jesus.

In Jesus day if a man was seen leaving a city carrying a cross he didn’t come back! We have to be crucified to the world. “My people have not really been to the cross.” They haven’t died. Those who have been closest to the Lord have had tribulation and have had to learn not to have ‘self interest’.

We’ve seen nothing yet - Satan has God’s permission to sift us. Jesus could say, “Satan has no place in me,” because He had no ‘self interest’ and we must be the same. All we do must be for Jesus, for His Names sake - not for us. All has to be for His glory and all we do has to be for Him. If it has ‘self interest’ in it it is from the deceiver. If it is about death to self it is the true gospel.  DA

Coming Out of Her - Coming Into Him

When Satan seduced Eve, he did not come up with new instructions and new teachings that were far off from the truth. He extended and redefined what was already said by the All-Knowing God. By this he was able to introduce his lies, to deceive and corrupt the first man.

Just as Satan deceived Eve so he continues to try to deceive mankind. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in the later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

Attached is a warning and an encouragement to the true believer to come out unto Christ Jesus in whom they have been born again by the Spirit of God.
