God Is Working His Purposes Out

Hode

As this New Year begins we can be assured that God is working His purposes out. No matter what we see unfolding in the world and no matter what we see in the lives of others or ourselves, God’s plan and purpose is not being delayed. As the old hymn says, “God is working His purposes out, as year flows into year. God is working His purposes out and the time is drawing near. Nearer and nearer draws the time; the time that will surely be. When the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.” This is the assurance the Lord wishes us to have.

There is a growing state of suffering in different parts of the world. All can see it. Fire is coming. One reason for this is that without tribulation the church, which is the body of Christ, will not come to maturity - to purity. Our minds, however, should not be set on coming hardship but how it will bring freedom to many people, a total end to the reign of evil in the day of the Lord, and even beyond. We can have a growing joy in it.

This joy, however does not come unless we have come to that place of forsaking all. To forsake all has to be a reality in our hearts, not some endeavour worked out by our minds, and we need to press on into the Lord to gain more spiritual understanding. What many  long for as regards the church we do not yet see except in a very small measure. There has yet to be a bigger change. And this seems to be linked to our accepting what God has done in placing us in Christ Jesus so having been crucified with Him we are now seated with Him in heavenly places, our old man having died at the cross. The responsibility of each member is our holding onto Jesus as our Head. This is nothing highly spiritual, the weakest member of the body of Christ, so to speak, can do it. Man’s best efforts to bring people into a oneness with Christ will fail, if there is no ongoing holding onto Christ as the Head. Our oneness in the body of Christ is directly related to the oneness between the Father and Son.

Jesus prayed to the Father, “I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity.” In other words our unity is linked to our being in Christ. It seems that although the true church are already one our unity needs to be perfected, or made complete by our knowing and believing we are in Christ and one in Him.

The moment each member holds to Christ the Head, there is oneness. It is an outstanding spectacle for people to see and touch. The fruit of every true ministry is that the members will hold more and more unto the Head.

John puts it this way, “If you walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another.” (1John 1:7) As the body of Christ this means that if we don’t walk in the light our ‘fellowship’ is effected - but not our ‘relationship’. We actually are, already one from the moment we first believed with every other true believer. But we long for that reality of true fellowship that will not come unless we walk in the light. It comes by no other way.

This is nothing new yet for some reason the reality still eludes us! With what is coming we can no longer remain in our unbelief. We must accept the exchanged life which is ours in Him. We and Christ are one.

We see this at the beginning at Pauls Christian life on the road to Damascus; “Why are you persecuting Me?” Jesus said when Paul was persecuting the church. (Acts 9:4) And in 1 Corinthians 8.12 we read, “But when you thus sin against the brethren and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.” “If one member suffers, all the member s suffer…”  (1 Corinthians 12.26-27)

Meanwhile as 2016 begins world events move us all ever nearer to a situation in the world that will challenge every one of us as regards our acceptance of  this reality of being in Christ.

What else will it take to wake us up?

So we pray that the Lord will wake us all up and give us the revelation we need that we can act in faith in accordance with the scriptures that are the word of God. We need revelation not intellectual understanding.

Our life in the Spirit, the reality and practicality of our walk in newness of life, must become a reality for the true sons of God. We pray for this.

A Prophetic View Of The End Times

In the 1980’s what was a move of God swept through the UK. Known as the so called ‘Charismatic Renewal’ many seemed to be brought into the Kingdom of God with an emphasis on being baptised in the Holy Spirit. There was an excitement as God moved by His Spirit with healings and miracles. It seemed to bring life to the denominations and new denominational churches sprung up. Home meetings were everywhere. What were deemed to be ‘para church organisations’ rose up. But almost as soon as it had begun this move of God began to fade.

I was part of a small group who began to seek the Lord as to why this was happening. What was wrong? From the late 1980’s we met regularly. What the Lord began to show us had us checking with scripture and checking our own walk with Him. We ourselves were guilty of having strayed from scripture. Much of what we did was to do with man’s kingdom building, with a small ‘k’, not the Kingdom of God. We had names over us that replaced the Name of Jesus, memberships of our sectarian groups, and leaders when Jesus said to “call no man ‘leader’ for One is your Leader, even Christ.” (Matt.23:10) We found that the English translations of scripture wrongly translated Greek words that hid the original meaning and upheld the hierarchical structures that were mirrored in all denominations, rather than the level brotherhood that Christ told us we were. Jesus said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave,” (Matt.20:25-27) and Jesus said, “Do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.” (Matt.23:8)

In the first days of 1993 the Lord spoke to our small group, that what had been mixed together from the beginning of the church age  - the Harlot and the Bride - were beginning to separate. We were to find this was our very experience. Something extremely dramatic was happening in the spiritual realm which we little understood but it’s effects were evident. This, we realised, was effecting all that went by the name of ‘church’ all around the world.

As the months passed by we saw that wrong spirits were increasingly manifest in denomination church settings and large gatherings whilst local church groups were splitting and then splitting again. These divisions did not bring freedom so much as to drive Christians to find places of relative spiritual comfort or to just stop gathering as they had been accustomed to. Like sheep without a shepherd many were scattered from what had seemed of God.

What the Lord began to explain with more clarity was that this separation that He had spoken about was the end-time separation of the tares from among the wheat, one of the places in scripture that Jesus explained by way of a parable would come at the time of harvest at the end of the age.

The following booklet is my testimony regarding this revelation and where it has yet to take the true sons of God.

Unfolding Understanding in 2016

Two booklets have been added to the Booklets section of the website, one entitled “An Unfolding Understanding Of The End Times” and the other “Considering The Birth Of Jesus”. Together I hope both these booklets begin to bring unfolding spiritual understanding of the times we are in at this time of writing and an increased understanding of God’s plan and purpose. I believe there is increased understanding the Holy Spirit wishes to impart. What I share is revelation others have had before me, revelation that begins to make sense of unfolding world events. I share them and ask the reader to weigh them in the Spirit.
